About Us
How the System Works:
The Rural Health IT Corporation Electronic Health Record system overlays
your existing platforms and
systems, using CCOW and HL–7 standards, allowing them all to
talk to one another seamlessly, in real
time, updating your data bases in all existing systems, from any
one system.

Services: Creating Health Information Networks:
The Rural Health IT Corporation Clinical Portal system creates a
Health Information Exchange or Regional Health Information Organization
between providers, in a cost-effective manner. The system is scalable
to be applied to a range of entities, from a small rural hospital
to a large urban, state or province-wide network of hospitals,
clinics and other providers. Rather than presenting data in a “read
only” format, as other clinical portals have done in the
past, this suite of applications permits bi-directional transfer
of data, allowing communication between existing computer platforms,
including HIT “silos.” This will extend the utility
of those platforms, not just to providers, but to payers as well.
This leads to increased patient safety, availability of information
to practitioners at the point of care in real time, regardless
of where the data resides, decreases in redundancy and improved
documentation, for use in initiatives such as Pay-for-Performance
programs.
